  1. Rinse the black beluga lentils under cold water.
  2. In a pot, add water and lentils. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes or until the lentils are tender.
  3. Drain the lentils and set aside.
  4. In a pan, heat olive oil and add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Stir well.
  6. Add the cooked lentils and salt. Mix everything together and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
