Grate the yellow squash and onion. Squeeze out any excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel.

In a mixing bowl, combine the grated squash, onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beaten eggs, fresh basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
