  1. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any discolored leaves. Slice the Brussels sprouts thinly.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the shallots. Mince the garlic.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic and sauté until softened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the sliced Brussels sprouts to the skillet and sauté for 5-6 minutes, until they are tender and slightly browned.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
