  1. Pressure cook toor dal with turmeric powder.
  2. Cook vegetables separately with salt and water.
  3. Extract tamarind juice.
  4. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, and red chili.
  5. Add tamarind juice, sambar powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Add cooked dal and vegetables. Mix well.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
