Rinse and soak the navy beans overnight.

Drain the beans and set aside.

Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and minced garlic. Sauté until vegetables are tender.

Add soaked navy beans, vegetable broth, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
