Samosas originated in the Middle East and were brought to India by traders, eventually becoming a popular street food.
This is vegan recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 14.

Boil potatoes until tender. Peel and mash them.

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.

Add chopped onions, green chili, ginger, and garlic. Saute until onions turn golden brown.

Add peas and cook for 2 minutes.

Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add coriander leaves and mix again.

Take a spring roll wrapper and place a spoonful of the potato mixture on one corner.

Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle, enclosing the filling.

Continue folding in a triangle shape until the end of the wrapper.

Seal the edges with water.

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until golden brown.

Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
