Granola bars
Granola bars were first invented in the late 19th century as a portable and nutritious food for hikers and travelers.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 65 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 7.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, almonds, dried cranberries, salt, and mix well.

In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil over low heat. Add honey and vanilla extract, and stir until well combined.

Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture and stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and press it down firmly with the back of a spoon.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the bars turn golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the baking dish.

Once cooled, cut the mixture into bars.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
