  3. Pressure cook for 4 whistles or until the dal is cooked.
  4. In a separate pan, heat ghee and add cumin seeds.
  5. Once the cumin seeds splutter, add minced garlic cloves and sauté until golden brown.
  6. Add red chili powder and mix well.
  7. Pour the tempering over the cooked chana dal.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  9. Serve hot with rice or roti.
