Brown-Rice Veggie Burgers
Veggie burgers have been around since the early 1980s and have gained popularity as a healthier and more sustainable alternative to traditional meat burgers.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 50 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork.

Add the cooked brown rice to the bowl and mix well.

Finely chop the onion, carrot, and garlic cloves.

In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the chopped vegetables until they are soft.

Add the sautéed vegetables to the bowl with the black beans and rice.

Add the ground flaxseed, bread crumbs, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

Form the mixture into patties and place them on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the patties for 15-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through.

Heat the remaining olive oil in a pan and pan-fry the patties for a few minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

Serve the brown-rice veggie burgers on whole wheat buns with your favorite toppings.
