Apples are a great source of dietary fiber and vitamin C. They are also believed to have originated in Central Asia over 4,000 years ago.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Core and slice the apples.

In a bowl, mix the sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

In a separate bowl, combine oats, all-purpose flour, salt, and melted butter.

Spread half of the oat mixture in a baking dish.

Layer the apple mixture on top of the oat mixture.

Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apples.

Bake for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
