  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the Roma tomatoes in half and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the tomatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  4. Cut the top off each garlic clove and place them on the baking sheet alongside the tomatoes.
  5. Roast the tomatoes and garlic in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft and slightly charred.
  6. While the tomatoes and garlic are roasting, slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  7. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 5 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  8. Remove the roasted tomatoes and garlic from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  9. Once cooled, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of their skins and mash them with a fork.
  10. Spread the mashed garlic onto each toasted baguette slice.
  11. Top each slice with a roasted tomato half and a fresh basil leaf.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!
