Three-Bean Barbecue
Barbecue beans are a popular side dish in Southern cuisine and are often served at barbecues and cookouts.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 55 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 18.

Drain and rinse the kidney beans, black beans, and garbanzo beans.

Chop the onion, bell pepper, and garlic cloves.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic cloves. Sauté until softened.

In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and liquid smoke.

Add the drained beans and the barbecue sauce mixture to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Stir well to combine.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
