In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, celery, carrots, and bell pepper. Cook until the vegetables are tender.

Add the zucchini, canned tomatoes, vegetable broth, bay leaves, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
