Rinse the split peas under cold water.

In the pressure cooker, heat olive oil and sauté onion, carrot, celery, and garlic until softened.

Add split peas, vegetable broth, bay leaves, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the pressure cooker.

Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.

Allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, then carefully release any remaining pressure.

Remove the bay leaves and blend the soup until smooth using an immersion blender.
