Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Add cumin, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir for a minute.

Add lentils, tomatoes, and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Add kale and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
