Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).

Pop the popcorn and set aside.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the baking soda.

Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and toss to coat evenly.

Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
