Bring a pot of water to boil. Add salt.

Trim the ends of the green beans.

Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.

Add the blanched green beans to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Toss well to coat.
