Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe and Fried Chickpeas
Orecchiette means ‘little ears’ in Italian, referring to the shape of the pasta.

Cook the orecchiette pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until fragrant.

Add the broccoli rabe and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chickpeas and cook until crispy, about 10 minutes.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the broccoli rabe. Toss to combine.

Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon zest.

Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese.
