Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the popcorn kernels and cover with a lid.

Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning and ensure even popping.

Once the popcorn has finished popping, remove from heat and drizzle the melted butter over the top.

Sprinkle the sugar and salt over the popcorn, then quickly cover the pot and shake vigorously to coat the popcorn evenly.
