Tofu is a versatile ingredient that originated in China and is widely used in Asian cuisines. It is made from soybeans and is a great source of plant-based protein.

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water and cut it into cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  3. Marinate the tofu cubes in the marinade for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and add minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for a minute.
  5. Add chopped bell pepper and red onion to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add marinated tofu cubes and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add pineapple chunks and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
