Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic cloves and sauté for 1 minute.

Add the green beans and sauté for 5 minutes, until they are bright green and slightly tender.

Cover the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, until the green beans are crisp-tender.
