  1. In a bowl, mix together maple syrup, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Cut tempeh into slices or cubes and place them in a shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the tempeh, making sure it is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for better flavor.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Transfer the marinated tempeh to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
