Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onion is translucent.

Add curry powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Add lentils, chickpeas, tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes. Stir to combine.

Pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, or until lentils and vegetables are tender.

Stir in fresh cilantro and lime juice.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
