  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked lentils, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the lentil mixture into patties of desired size.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the lentil patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the lemon juice, chopped basil, and vegan mayonnaise to make the lemon basil mayo.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns.
  6. Spread the lemon basil mayo on the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Place a lentil patty on top of the mayo, followed by lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and red onion slices.
  8. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  9. Serve the lentil burgers with additional lemon basil mayo on the side, if desired.
