Kristi’s Soft Buns (Gluten Free!)
Soft gluten-free buns are a great alternative to traditional buns for those with gluten intolerance or following a gluten-free diet. The combination of flours and starches used in this recipe results in a soft and fluffy texture.
This is vegan and gluten free recipe. Dish can be prepared in 130 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

In a large bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca starch, potato starch, xanthan gum, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

In a separate small bowl, dissolve instant yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

Add olive oil and egg (or flaxseed meal mixture) to the yeast mixture. Whisk until well combined.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix well until a soft and sticky dough forms.

Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lightly grease a baking sheet.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into smooth balls.

Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and flatten them slightly.

Brush the buns with water and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
