In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add kale, white beans, farro, vegetable broth, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until farro is tender.
