  1. Rinse the basmati rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, soak the saffron threads in warm milk for 10 minutes.
  3. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the soaked rice. Cook until the rice is 70% cooked.
  4. Drain the rice and set it aside.
  5. In a separate pan, heat ghee and add the soaked saffron milk. Stir well.
  6. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
  7. Add the partially cooked rice to the pan and mix gently.
  8. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish with raisins and pistachios before serving.
