Granola bars were originally invented as a portable and nutritious snack for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and dried cranberries.

In a small saucepan, heat the honey, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt over low heat until melted and well combined.

Pour the honey mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is evenly coated.

Press the mixture into a greased or lined baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
