Peel and chop the yuca into small pieces.

Boil the yuca in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Drain the yuca and return it to the pot.

In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic cloves and cook until golden brown.

Add the garlic and olive oil mixture, lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the pot with the yuca.

Mash the yuca using a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy.
