Rinse the rice and soak it in water for 30 minutes.

Add the tomatoes, cinnamon stick, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften.

Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Stir well to coat the rice with the tomato mixture.

Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
