Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.

In a blender, blend together coriander leaves, onion, garlic, ginger, and green chili to make a smooth paste.

Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the coriander paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, salt, and soaked rice. Mix well.

Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.

Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
