Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

In a large saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, and salt. Bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the green peas for a few minutes.

Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and stir in the sautéed green peas, fresh herbs, lime juice, black pepper, and coconut flakes.

Let the rice rest for 5 minutes before serving.
