Tomatoes are a great source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that may help reduce the risk of certain diseases.

In a small bowl, combine the water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, salt, tomato paste, olive oil, and the yeast mixture. Mix well to form a dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet.

Flatten the dough into a rectangle shape and press the cherry tomato halves into the dough.

Sprinkle the chopped basil leaves, garlic powder, and dried oregano over the top of the dough.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
