  1. Blanch the Chinese cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a pan, stir-fry the tofu, carrot, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, and ginger until cooked. Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Lay out a cabbage leaf and place a portion of the stir-fried filling in the center. Roll the leaf tightly, tucking in the sides as you go.
  4. In a steamer, steam the cabbage rolls for 20 minutes.
  5. In a small saucepan, mix cornstarch with water and cook until thickened. Drizzle the sauce over the steamed cabbage rolls.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
