  1. Wash and dry the okra. Cut off the ends and slice them into thin pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger, garlic, and green chili paste. Cook for a minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add the sliced okra and mix gently. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 15 minutes, or until the okra is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with roti or rice.
