Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Trim the ends of the Brussel sprouts and cut them in half.

In a large bowl, combine the Brussel sprouts, olive oil, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussel sprouts are well coated.

Spread the Brussel sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the Brussel sprouts are caramelized and tender.

Meanwhile, toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 5 minutes. Let them cool, then roughly chop.

Remove the Brussel sprouts from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Transfer the Brussel sprouts to a serving dish and sprinkle with the toasted pecans.
