In a large baking dish, combine the black beans, white beans, onion, and garlic cloves.

In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke, salt, black pepper, and water.

Pour the sauce mixture over the beans and stir well to combine.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and stir the beans. Continue baking uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.
