  2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, and green chili and fry for a minute.
  4. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Fry for another minute.
  5. Add rice, lentils, salt, and water. Mix well.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes or until the rice and lentils are cooked.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
