  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices.
  2. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. While the bread is toasting, dice the tomatoes and finely chop the garlic and basil.
  4. In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  5. Remove the toasted baguette slices from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  6. Spoon the tomato mixture onto each slice of bread.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
