Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.

In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until smooth.

Add lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes.

Mix everything together until well combined.

Cover the bowl and let the avocado pate rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Serve chilled with toasted bread or crackers.
