  2. Peel and chop the potatoes into small cubes.
  3. Finely chop the onion, ginger, garlic, and green chilies.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  5. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  6. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  7. Add chopped potatoes and peas. Cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add soaked and drained rice to the pan. Mix gently.
  9. Add water and salt. Stir well.
  10. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
  11. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  12. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
