  1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth.
  2. Add the cooked brown rice, onion, red bell pepper, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, breadcrumbs, and flour to the bowl. Mix well to combine.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes to ensure they are cooked through.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a grill.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and onion slices. Cover with the top half of the bun.
