Yorkshire Dhal is a fusion dish that combines the flavors of Indian dhal with the traditional British Yorkshire pudding.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 15.

Rinse the lentils and set aside.

Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions until golden brown.

Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.

Add the tomatoes, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the lentils, vegetable stock, and coconut milk. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the lentils are tender.

Stir in the cilantro, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

Let the dhal rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
