  1. Place a cheesecloth or muslin cloth over a colander.
  2. Pour the yogurt into the cheesecloth.
  3. Gather the edges of the cloth and tie them together.
  4. Hang the cheesecloth with the yogurt over the colander and place a bowl underneath to catch the whey.
  5. Let the yogurt strain for at least 12 hours, or up to 24 hours for a thicker consistency.
  6. Once strained, remove the yogurt cheese from the cloth and transfer it to a container.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  9. Enjoy your homemade yogurt cheese!
