Grate the yellow squash and onion.

Squeeze out excess moisture from the grated squash and onion.

In a bowl, mix the grated squash, onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Form the mixture into patties and place them in the pan.
