Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add chopped Chinese cabbage and cook for another 3 minutes.

Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir in soy milk, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let the soup rest for 5 minutes.
