Sloppy Joes were originally made with ground beef, but this vegan version with lentils is just as delicious and healthier!

Cook the lentils according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.

Add the cooked lentils to the skillet and stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the mixture thickens.

Toast the hamburger buns and serve the lentil mixture on top.
