Tofu and Mushrooms
Tofu, also known as bean curd, is a popular ingredient in vegetarian and vegan cooking, and is a great source of plant-based protein.
This is vegan, gluten free and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 40 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 11.

Press tofu to remove excess water.

Cut tofu into cubes.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan.

Add tofu and stir-fry until golden brown.

Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and mushrooms.

Stir-fry until mushrooms are cooked.

Add soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to make a slurry.

Add the slurry to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.

Add the tofu back to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce.

Garnish with green onions.

Serve hot with rice or noodles.
