Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.

In a baking dish, combine the sautéed onion and garlic with the canned baked beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, hot sauce, salt, and black pepper.

Mix well and cover the baking dish with foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.

Let the baked beans rest for 10 minutes before serving.
