  4. Add tamarind paste, sambar powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add water and let the vegetables cook until tender.
  6. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the cooked dal and mix well.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes and adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.
  8. Serve hot with rice or idli.
